On Wednesday 5th January 2022 the 2nd Round of the CACC Rosebowl 2021/22 Competition took place.

The CACC Rosebowl Competition is an annual Projected Digital Image (PDI) inter-club competition with an ‘Open’ subject. The competition is run over a number of rounds that takes place throughout the year. Thirty-two clubs that are associated with the Chilterns Association of Camera Clubs (CACC) compete against each other. Entry is at a Club Level, and our entries were selected from a pool of our club images.

What Happened

This year Field End Photographic Society  hosted the 2nd Round via Zoom. The judge was Mark Buckley‐Sharp. In this round, we were drawn against Croxley CC, Princes Risborough PS and of course Field End.

Unfortunately, we came third, ten points shy of the runners-up spot.

The final scores were:

Field End PS – 265 points

Croxley CC – 259 points

Buckingham CC – 249points

Princes Risborough CC – 241 points

Our top scoring images on the night were : Groyne Stopper and Dots And Diagonals, both by John Goldsworthy, both scoring 19,  and Distinguished (a portrait of John Goldsworthy) by Matthew Kitchen, which scored 18.
