About Our Club

Who are we?

At Buckingham Camera Club we are a supportive and friendly group, with a common interest in photography.  We range from young enthusiastic beginners to people that can share their knowledge to encourage and develop your skills with your camera and/or photography.

What do we do?

You can find out more about what activities we do in the ‘What we get up to’ section below. We have a varied programme throughout the year, with the aim to keep everyone interested, involved and learning in a friendly and sociable atmosphere. We meet most Wednesdays in Padbury Village Hall at 8pm.

How to join our Club?

If you are thinking of joining us at Buckingham Camera Club, you are welcome to come along to one or two of our meetings free of charge.  Then if you like what you see, you can become a member using the Membership Form. If you want to confirm that a meeting is taking place as advertised you can Contact Us to check with Wendy Credland (Club Secretary).

How much?

Membership of the club is currently £45 per year for adults, £60 for couples and £20 for under 17yr old’s. We have lighting equipment, a studio background, various projectors and screens, ring-flash, ColorMunki, TriggerSmart and other equipment available to our members.  Please Contact Us if you wish to borrow any of these.

Knowledge Sharing

A number of practical sessions where you will have the chance to learn and ask those questions you have been needing to get answers to.

LEARN NEW SKILLS

A variety of “how” to sessions on editing, organising or improving your skills. Join other members, in small groups, not only to listen to our more experienced members but to get actively involved in learning these skills.

Practical Evenings

Enjoy the experience of practicing in a supportive environment, where members share their knowledge to encourage and develop your skills.

LEARN NEW SKILLS

A range of enthusiastic practical evenings where members have the opportunity to learn more about their camera, how to improve their photographs, and many other aspects of photography in a fun environment.

Workshops

Have the chance to experience hands-on practical workshops, covering many different areas, to allow you to further your skills as a photographer.

LEARN NEW SKILLS

A range of practical workshops, in which small groups of members can learn more about lighting, shooting and many other areas. These hands-on events offer a great opportunity to tap into the extensive skills of group leaders.

Talks

Enjoy illustrated talks by guest speakers and accomplished photographers about a variety of topics throughout the year to be inspired or learn something new.

LEARN SOMETHING NEW

A number of speakers over the year will cover a multitude of subjects ranging from “How to” sessions through to inspirational talks about their experiences or activities within photography. 

Walks

Get some fresh air! Walks are organised over the summer months predominantly for members to bring their camera and shoot varying subjects.

ENJOY THE OUTSIDE

A number of walks are organised throughout the year both within the club and externally.  These cover a number of different topics giving you the opportunity to enjoy shooting in a supportive and sociable environment.

Competitions

Challenge yourself by entering our competitions through the year and receive valuable guidance and feedback to help you develop your photography.

CHALLENGE YOURSELF

There are many competitions held throughout the year both internally and externally. The aim of these is to have experienced judges providing valuable guidance and feedback to help you learn, and develop your skills.​
