Last night was our last round of the Photographer of the Year Competition, finally deciding who our winners are. Colin Mill was our judge for the evening, who provided an extremely positive and balanced review of our entries.
We had a wide array of marks with some very strong images around landscape, portraiture and creative genres. Although, in the SET subject, which was ‘Architecture’, we must congratulate Adrian Court and Doug Murrie for top marks. In addition, congratulations need to go to Colin Bright, John Goldsworthy and Pete Silver for achieving top marks in the OPEN topic. The images, not only tonight but throughout the year, demonstrate the breadth of talent we have within the club. We can now finalise the result for this 2018’s Photographer Of The Year competition with these scores.
It gives us great pleasure to announce that the winners for the following categories are:
Photographer Of The Year 2018 was won by Adrian Court
Top Scoring SET Subject (Print) was won jointly by Mike Kirby and Doug Murrie
Top Scoring OPEN Subject (Print) was won by Doug Murrie
Top Scoring SET Subject (PDI) was won by Andrew Nobbs
Top Scoring OPEN Subject (PDI) was won by Adrian Court
The presentations for the winners will be at the Christmas Party in December, where we can all celebrate the fantastic year.
