Being versatile is what it is all about with the Versatility Challenge Competition, with the winner awarded a year’s Club membership free. This is more of a fun competition, at the end of the Summer season before we restart the Photographer of the Year Competition in September.
This year’s Versatility Challenge was all around Disney theme rides (It’s a Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean, Spaceship Earth, Expedition Everest, Toy Story Mania). The challenge was finding an image that represented each of these titles ( or not as the case may be!). If you didn’t have something that fitted then try to find some tenuos link to it. It was a lot of fun, with quite a bit of heckling around some of the entries. After the competition, each member that submitted talked about each of their shots. They gave a bit of a background and any special techniques that they used in producing them. This demonstrated how versatile they all were.
After all of the entries scores were added up the winner was announced as Pete Silver, our Club Chairman. Congratulations to Pete. The prize for this competition is a years FREE membership, so well worth the effort! Pete will now start thinking up the topics for next year’s competition for us all. The top winning scores are detailed in the table to the right.

On top of this, the best scoring images to score top marks were both from Pete. So, overall it was a great night for Pete and a thoroughly enjoyable, lighthearted evening for everyone. Pete’s top images, voted by Adrian, are below.
