This week saw something different on our summer programme with a “Scavenger Photo Hunt” around the Buckingham town centre. On a hot sultry evening, we gathered in town and were handed a list of 15 items to find and capture.

The Hunt is on!

The aim was to be a scavenger and take a picture, using any camera, to represent the item on the list. All of this needed to be completed within 2hrs. So as the clock started everyone went their own ways looking for their own interpretation of the titles.

Afterwards, we all gathered back at the local pub, The Woolpack, to be judged. In a very non-scientific method, the images were reviewed on the backs of member’s cameras. After some deliberation, the overall winner was decided to be Hermann Kann who took and processed all 15 items on his phone. Above are a selection of Hermann’s images.

A Bit of An Optical Illusion

In addition, although John Goldsworthy didn’t find all 15 items his abstract image was judged the best image of the evening. This was of chairs in the church. This shot is a bit of an optical illusion in that it doesn’t look a rectangular crop although is. Thanks to all that came and made it a fun and an enjoyable evening. Lastly, congratulations to both, and enjoy the bottles of wine!
