Painting Light was what we were up to this week for our Practical Evening. This was in preparation for Round #5 of POTY which is Speed Blur. This involved lots of experimentation with many different devices. We started off with creating Orbs where Colin and Adrian became dizzy walking in circles. After some time to steady their heads, they moved on to spinning Colin’s creative light wheel creating many different shapes. After this Tom took over and created some amazing images with his Pixel Stick. Lastly, Adrian ended the evening by painting some light with a Lightsabre (no one was hurt while doing this!).
However, in the back room, Martin brought a number of lasers, and strobes which were experimented with in creating some artistic abstracts. So, overall the evening was a great success with a lot of fun being achieved and everyone helping each other to get images. Furthermore, thanks to everyone who helped out and supplied equipment for the night!
