CACC Rosebowl 2019/20 1st Round Results

So, last week was the 1st Round of the CACC Rosebowl 2019-20 Competition. This round sets the foundation for this year’s Rosebowl competition.

The CACC Rosebowl Competition is an annual Projected Digital Image (PDI) inter-club competition with an ‘Open’ subject. Furthermore, the competition is run over a number of rounds that takes place throughout the year. Thirty-two clubs that are associated with the Chilterns Association of Camera Clubs (CACC) compete against each other. Entry is at a Club Level, and our entries were selected from a pool of club images chosen by Pete Silver.

What Happened

This year the 1st Round was held at XRR Photographic Society in Stantonbury. In this round, we were drawn against XRR PS, Harrow CC and Watford CC. The first part of the evening started off well with some good scores, although nothing over an 18. This placed us in third place going into the coffee break, with only two 20’s being awarded to Harrow and XRR.

So, after refreshments, it seemed that we had an envigorated surge and generated a slew of 20’s! Congratulations must go to Graham Wills, John Credland, Doug Murrie and John Goldsworthy for all scoring 20. In addition, and to top the evening the Judge voted both John Credland’s image and one of Doug Murrie’s best in the round. Furthermore, this meant that we ended up smashing our way to the top and scoring 7 points more than second place.  You can see the final standings below:
