This week we had our annual Jim Waddington Challenge around Stony Stratford. This event is where Jim provides a subject for us all to go and photograph for around one hour. It is up to us how you interpret this although the idea is to try and capture an image that best represents the chosen subject.  This year the subject was “ironwork”, although ‘metalwork’ was also acceptable. Sixteen of us met in the centre of Stony Stratford and were met with Jo Thompson (Social Secretary) offering cupcakes! Well, don’t mind if I do!

After the Sugar Rush

So, after the sugar rush, we all broke away in our own small groups to capture what we could.  Walking around, down alleyways, through back streets, you get a real feel for what a lovely old coaching town Stony is. After an hour of walking around, we retired to ‘The Crown’ to rehydrate.

The idea of the Challenge is that images are submitted, from camera, and are then voted on by all who attended. After consideration and everyone voting, the winner was John Credland, with a close second by Hermann Kann.  Thanks for all coming along and making this an enjoyable evening. And lastly, here are the images submitted:
